One Person's Junk Is Another's Treasure

In memory of my father, I was reminded that a person’s junk is another person’s treasure. Those who knew my father will 🤣😂 because of his history and influence. My father helped a lot of people with new and used parts. The used parts were practically new because they were someone else’s junk that was undervalued and practically new. He saw the value in things and in people when most people didn’t see it. He empowered a lot of people mentally and helped people physically with a variety of tools. He serviced a lot of people’s needs, including those who had issues with him and didn’t like him.
I asked him why help those who don’t like you, who set you up for failure, and who want you to fail?” He said, “He might fail or disappoint, which could justify their judgment, actions, against him, but honestly, they could never say that he didn’t do something to help or advance what they were trying to do. You gotta help everyone Son, ain’t that what your good book tells you to do? You can’t pick and choose who you help or empower because they don’t like you or want you to fail. Who you are has to be bigger than that Son. Some people are going to be evil towards you, toss you aside, thow you away, and most of them have their own issues they put on you because they lack accountability and ownership.” I shook my head and smiled.
I took a trip down memory lane because I went to a junk yard to look for a part I needed that was still good to use, in great condition, and cost less to fix something. My father had his own junk yard and he went to a variety of junk yards. He was filled with wisdom, great with his hands, and believed in hard work to ownership. He told me, “Son, a coward steals what another man worked for and manipulates himself to think they he’s entitled to it. Don’t be that man. You worked for everything I gave you. No one is more deserving of good things than my Sons”
